System Administrator

Highlands is accepting applications for a System Administrator. This role will provide support to the overall Information Technology infrastructure for Church of the Highlands This role will also ensure effectiveness and efficiency of the overall IT infrastructure. This employee will serve as the first point of contact for the IT Department for network user requests and resources, general network or server matters and will provide network related support for all campus locations.
Experience required:
- Proven track record in maintaining networks in a fast-paced environment
- Significant experience with Microsoft Windows based servers operating systems
- Strong knowledge of virtual local area networks (VLANS) and and voice over IP (VOIP) systems
- Knowledge of network monitoring tools and practices

Understanding of and proficiency in the following:
- Microsoft Active Directory & Group Policy
- Microsoft Server 2008R2
- Microsfot Exchange 2007 or above
- Microsoft Hyper-V
- DNS, TCP/IP, and DHCP file and print services
- Server administration tasks such as troubleshooting, installation of operation systems, storage technologies
- User administration tasks such as domain user maintenance, user data back-ups, password policies, etc.
The following experience is desired but not required:
- Experience in designing networks
- Experience with wireless network systems
- Experience with site-to-site virtual private networks (VPNs) and user VPNs
- An understanding of virtual device interface (VDI) technologies
Must demonstrate an ability to learn new products and solutions. Membership with Church of the Highlands required for employment consideration.
