About this Project
Our team will minister in areas of high unemployment and low levels of education. Many children do not attend school. Join us as we encourage and empower adults and children while sharing the Gospel. By partnering with local, government, business, church, and school leaders, key relationships are established. The local church plays a significant role in the life-blood of the community, and often sustains the projects Global Effect maintains. Our short-term team will plug into a ministry that engages the whole community, and will leave a long-term impact.
What are the accommodations? Your team will staying in a guest house or hotel close to ministry locations.
What will we eat? Your team will enjoy local Dominican cuisine mostly consisting of rice and beans, plantains, fresh fruit, and seafood.
What should I wear? It is very important that all visiting team members dress modestly and in such a way that does not draw attention to themselves. Shorts should be knee-length, no speghetti strapped, midriff, low cut or sleeveless tops. Skirts should cover the knee at all times, even when sitting down. All tops must cover shoulders.
Money Deadlines:
- $200 deposit is due with application (app deadline is January 2nd)
- 25% of cost is due March 8th ($450 total)
- 50% of cost is due March 29th ($700 total)
-100% of cost is due April 19th ($1,400 total)
Requirements
This trip is open to anyone above the age of 18 or 12 if accompanied by an adult.
