About this Project
Already a country with a long history of poverty and tremendous need, both physical and spiritual, Haiti is still in desperate need from the earthquake that took place in January 2010. We will be partnering with Sister Bonite Affriany in Jacmel, located on the coast south of Port-au-Prince. We will be ministering in her children’s ministry that daily feeds and ministers to over 200 children every day. For most of them, this is the only meal they will receive. Because of the earthquake, many people are still homeless or living in makeshift tent camps. We will also be ministering in their local church on Sunday as well as during the week among their youth group.
What are the accommodations? Your team will either stay in a hotel within walking distance from the children's ministry you will work with or at a guest flat at the ministry center.
What will we eat? Your team will be staying in the coastal ciy of Jacmel, so you will be blessed with seafood almost daily. Sister Bonite will cook plentiful meals for your team for every meal.
What should I wear? It is very important that all visiting team members dress modestly and in such a way that does not draw attention to themselves. Shorts should be knee-length, no spaghetti strapped, midriff, lowcut or sleeveless tops. Skirts should cover the knee at all times, even when sitting down. All tops must cover shoulders.
Money Deadlines:
- $200 deposit is due with application (app deadline is August 15th)
- 25% of cost is due October 4th ($300 total)
- 50% of cost is due October 25th ($600 total)
-100% of cost is due November 15th ($1,200 total)

This trip is open to all campuses, ages 18 and up.
