About this Project
TRAINING WILL BE IN HELD IN AUBURN.
The Kingdom of Jordan is situated on the East Bank of Jordan River. Much of Jordan is covered by the Arabian Desert. 97% Muslim, only 6% of the population has heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This trip will assist long-term workers in a shop that employs Jordanians who are otherwise rejected by society. Come build relationships by working at the shop and visiting local families in their homes while getting a longer experience on the mission field with seasoned workers.
What are the accommodations? Your team will stay in a tourist hotel or guest home.
What will we eat? Your team will enjoy authentic Middle Eastern cuisine including falafel, shwarma, and chicken with rice. You will also have access to Western-style restaurants like TGI Friday's for special team dinners.
What should I wear? Because Jordon is 97% Muslim, dress is very conservative. Please bring clothes that are modest and neat. For women, long skirts or pants with long shirts that cover your backside are required. Shirts and blouses must cover shoulders, even reaching your elbow. For men, long pants/trousers must be worn when doing ministry. Your team leader will advise you more about clothing requirements during team meetings.
