What to Expect

  • Will childcare be provided?

    Yes. Children’s ministry during Christmas services will be available only for children ages six weeks through five years. There will be lots of fun and surprises! Snacks will not be provided. Children older than five are invited to attend the service with their families and will need a seating reservation. If this will be your child's first visit to Highlands Kids, you can save time by pre-registering your child online.

  • Is it free to attend services? Are reservations required?

    There is no cost to attend any Christmas at Highlands services, but you can help us plan a great experience for everyone by reserving your free seats. After making your reservation, please print your confirmation and bring it with you. You can also present your reservations on your mobile device.

  • What time should I plan to arrive for my reserved service?

    Doors to the auditorium will open 30 minutes prior to the service. Those with seating reservations will be seated first. Many services will be full, so we recommend arriving early so you have plenty of time to find your seat before the service begins. Seating will be open to those without reservations 10 minutes prior to the service. After this time, reservations will no longer provide guaranteed seats.

  • Can I present my reservation(s) on my mobile device instead of printing them?

    Yes. Please just be prepared to show the greeter your confirmation email at the door of the auditorium.

  • What if I have too many reservations? Should I return them?

    Yes. We'd appreciate it if you would release any unneeded reservations for upcoming services as soon as you know you will not use them. You can do this by editing your reservation online using the link provided in your confirmation email or by emailing christmas@churchofthehighlands.com.

  • Will we be able to take family photos?

    Of course! Each campus will have multiple photo booths where you and your family can take pictures.

  • Will this service include candle-lighting?

    Yes. There will be a special candle-lighting moment during every service at every campus. Communion will also be available at every campus.

  • Will you have regularly scheduled Sunday Services on Sunday, December 23?

    No. We will continue to host Christmas at Highlands services on this day.

  • Will the services taking place on Christmas Eve be different from the other Christmas at Highlands services?

    No. All of our Christmas at Highlands services will be identical at each service time and location.

  • Will you have any services on Christmas Day, December 25?

    We will not have services at any of our campuses on Christmas Day.

  • Can I make my reservation at the church?

    In-person reservations can only be made at the Grants Mill campus. Once reservations are available, you can reserve your seats using the computers at the Information Desk before or after any Highlands service. If you attend another Highlands campus, you can still make your reservations online.

  • Is there a limit to how many seats I can reserve?

    You can reserve seats for up to eight people. Please only reserve seats for the number of people in your group who have confirmed they will be attending.

  • Will I get a confirmation email once I make a reservation?

    Yes. Your confirmation email will include a link for you to print your reservation(s). You will need to bring your reservation(s) with you to the service, either printed or on your mobile device.

  • What is the process to make changes to my reservation? What if I make a mistake when reserving online?

    You can edit your reservation by clicking the link provided in your confirmation email.

  • My preferred service is full. What do I do now?

    If reservations for your preferred service are no longer available, we encourage you to choose a service at a different time or location. If you come to a service without a reservation and there are remaining seats available, you will be able to enter the auditorium 10 minutes before the service begins.

  • I received a notification that I have been "waitlisted" for my preferred service. What does that mean?

    If you receive this notification, it means you have been put on the waitlist to receive seating reservations for your preferred service. If reservations become available, we'll transfer them to you and remove you from the waitlist. You will receive an email if your waitlist status changes.

  • Which services will we stream this year?

    This year we will have all Christmas Eve services live streamed from our Grants Mill campus. Check the schedule for exact service times.

  • Who can I contact if I still have questions?

    Our Christmas Event Team is available to answer questions Monday–Friday from 10:00am–4:00pm at 205-725-7700. You can also email the team at christmas@churchofthehighlands.com.
