About This Project

The Basque Country of Spain and the Camino de Santiago are truly unique and powerful ministry opportunities where the Spirit of God is moving on hearts and souls.

We will spend the first three days in the Basque Country (in the city of San Sebastian). The Basque Nation is an unreached and unchurched people group in Northern Spain, but the Lord is raising up workers to love the Basques to Christ. We will come alongside ARC partner and local Basque Pastor Unai Arretxe on the 10 year anniversary of his church plant (Iglesia Evangelica). We will work at the anniversary celebration, will encourage his church and help them host a soccer camp outreach ministry for families in the community.

The remainder of the trip will be on the spiritually fertile soil of the Camino de Santiago, which is an ancient pilgrimage route originating in the 9th Century.  Last year, well over 200,000 pilgrims from all over the world walked the Camino. Most of these souls do not know Christ and nearly all of them are seeking answers in their lives. We will become pilgrims to reach pilgrims and will walk that last five days of the Camino from Sarria to Santiago de Compostela. Along the way, we will ourselves experience incredible intimacy with the Father, and will encounter many God ordained opportunities to answers questions from genuine seekers, to minister, and to love fellow pilgrims to Christ.

What are the accommodations? Your team will stay in small hotels, except pilgrims will spend at least two of the five walking days in (albergues) bunk-style housing with other pilgrims.

What will we eat? Traditional Spanish & Basque food, with some American meals.
