Larry Stockstill

Pastor Larry Stockstill was called into the ministry at the age of 16 and immediately responded to that call. A graduate of Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with a degree in theological and historical studies, in 1983 Larry took over as senior pastor of Bethany World Prayer Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the church his father, Roy, founded in 1963.

Both Stockstills emphasized simplicity, sincerity, and sacrifice as the guiding principles for the church, and under Larry’s leadership Bethany World Prayer Center now has three campuses throughout Louisiana. Larry has also written The Remnant: Restoring the Call to Personal Integrity and hosts a television program called Lifeline with Larry Stockstill, which has aired for 20 years on the ABC and CBS affiliates in Baton Rouge.

Pastor Stockstill and his wife, Melanie, have six children, who are all passionately involved in the ministry of Bethany.
