Senior Accountant (Grandview Location)
Church of the Highlands is looking for a ministry-focused, Christ-centered Accountant to join the Accounting Team at the Central Offices located at the Grandview Campus. Highlands is passionate about the Great Commission and dedicated to helping build the local church. If you are called to full-time ministry and meet the requirements below, we want to hear from you.
Experience and Knowledge Required:
- A follower of Jesus Christ.
- Called to work in full-time ministry.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, including financial transaction. review and general accounting processes.
- Intermediate computer skills and the ability to learn and adapt to new financial systems and software.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to exercise discretion and maintain strict confidentiality when handling financial information.
- Prior experience reviewing or overseeing financial transactions or supporting junior staff.
- Experience with Sage Intacct and Ramp financial systems.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Oversee the review and analysis of financial transactions to ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
- Supervise and support the Accountant team responsible for reviewing department-level financial activity.
- Review financial transactions for assigned departments and escalate issues when necessary.
- Collaborate with departments and campuses to educate and resource team on accounting policies and procedures.
- Assist in counting and processing weekly offerings.
- Support the implementation of financial accounting policies and procedures.
