Product Developer (Grandview Campus)
The purpose of this role is to plan and develop software solutions and web application while supporting and maintaining Church of the Highlands digital products.
The candidate we are seeking is:

- Works well under pressure and can juggle multiple projects
- Enjoys a challenge and has a servant’s heart
- Experience and knowledge required:
- 4+ years of experience in web and software development.
- Experience with designing and implementing creative software solutions that solve ministry challenges.
- Ability to produce and document simple, efficient, and elegant code based on requirements.
- Proficiency in back-end systems, MVC frameworks, and API integrations.
- Proficient in DevOps and cloud engineering with an understanding of various development methods.
- Development knowledge of iOS, Android, tvOS, Roku, and other mobile platforms.
- Understanding of basic principles in design, user interaction, and user experience.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for architecting, maintaining and documenting software solutions to fulfill project requirements.
- Responsible for integrating data from various back-end web services and databases.
- Manage technical resources, such as local, staging, and production environments.
- Research and develop strategies and tool sets for elegant and dynamic solutions to development challenges.
- Provide support for users having technical issues with technology products.
- Manage other routine duties, such as server tuning, resource management, systems maintenance, quality assurance testing, etc.
This position is located in Birmingham, Alabama and is not a remote position.
